The Human Resource Management Professionals Examinations Board (HRMPEB) has begun the December 2025 CHRP (Certified Human Resource Professional) and CBET Diploma and Certificate examinations, which are running from 3 to 10 December across the country. More than 1800 candidates are sitting the exams in centers located in Nairobi, Kisumu, Nakuru, Eldoret, Mombasa, Nyahururu, Nyeri, Sigalagala, Kaimosi, Thika, and Nanyuki.
The examinations are designed to evaluate the competence of aspiring Human Resource professionals and align their skills with national and global standards.
HRMPEB CEO CHRP Margaret Nguu praised the candidates for their dedication and urged them to approach the tests with integrity and confidence. She noted that the rising number of candidates demonstrates the growing recognition of HR as a strategic driver of organizational growth. She reaffirmed HRMPEB’s commitment to credibility, accessibility, and excellence in its examination processes.
The CBET Diploma and Certificate examinations, which also started on 3 December and will run concurrently until 10 December, are being administered across national polytechnics and colleges. The CBET model emphasizes practical skills, performance-based assessment, and workplace readiness, in line with the evolving demands of Kenya’s HR profession. Nguu emphasized that the CBET pathway is designed to produce job-ready HR practitioners and provides a progression route into the CHRP programme.
The December 2025 examination cycle marks a significant step in advancing the professionalization of Human Resource Management in Kenya, equipping institutions with competent, ethical, and industry-ready HR professionals.
