The Kenya Wildlife Service has stepped up preparations for the festive season, rolling out measures aimed at ensuring safe, convenient and memorable experiences for visitors across national parks, reserves and sanctuaries, the agency said in a statement issued on Tuesday.
As part of the initiative, KWS has introduced dedicated bus shuttle services at Nairobi National Park, Aberdare National Park and Lake Nakuru National Park to ease access and reduce transport challenges during the peak holiday period. The shuttles are intended to improve mobility within the parks, enabling both local and international tourists to explore Kenya’s wildlife heritage with greater ease.
KWS said park wardens have been deployed on the ground to support visitors, provide guidance and respond promptly to any concerns. Security has also been enhanced across all protected areas to ensure the safety of visitors, staff and wildlife.
The agency urged visitors to adhere to park rules and regulations as part of its conservation commitment. This includes maintaining plastic free parks by avoiding single use plastics and disposing of waste responsibly. KWS emphasized that protecting wildlife and preserving clean natural environments remains a shared responsibility.
Customer support and contact centre services have also been strengthened and will remain operational around the clock throughout the festive season to provide timely assistance, respond to inquiries and coordinate support where needed.
Members of the public and stakeholders can reach KWS through the toll free number 0800 597 000, WhatsApp on 0726 610 509, or email Customerservice@kws.go.ke.
KWS wished all visitors a joyful festive season and encouraged them to discover, explore and conserve Kenya’s rich wildlife heritage.
