A new range of high-end wall and floor coating solutions has officially been introduced into the Kenyan market as South Africa’s Mixx Cement partnered with Pavilion Master Builders to showcase innovative finishing products designed for modern construction and interior design.

Speaking during a product seminar in Nairobi, Mixx Cement CEO Moya Blight said the company had partnered with Pavilion Master Builders to train Kenyan contractors and construction stakeholders on advanced thin-film wall and floor coating systems that are durable, economical and aesthetically appealing.

Blight said the products include interior and exterior wall coatings as well as a flooring solution branded “Easy Floor,” which can be applied on multiple surfaces including painted walls, tiled floors, raw cement and even glass.

She noted that the coatings are already widely used in hotels, bush lodges and high-end homes across Southern Africa due to their durability and premium finish.

“Our products are very cost-effective, easy to use and provide a beautiful high-end appearance compared to ordinary painted surfaces,” said Blight.

She added that the products have gained popularity among architects, designers and homeowners because of their versatility and long-lasting performance, with some hotel owners reporting reduced maintenance and recoating costs.

Blight said she has spent nearly 30 years developing the cement-based finishes, driven by a passion for design and the need for simple, user-friendly alternatives in the construction industry.

Africa Supplies Ltd Marketing Director Simon Pogson said the partnership with Pavilion Master Builders dates back more than 17 years, during which the firms have collaborated on several construction solutions in Kenya, including Dekra Roofing Systems.

Pogson said Mixx Cement is a trusted product across Southern Africa and expressed confidence that the Kenyan market would embrace the innovative finishing solution.

“Kenyans appreciate beautiful and high-quality products, and Mixx Cement delivers both,” he said.

He added that the partnership between the South African manufacturer, Africa Supplies Ltd and Pavilion Master Builders aims to provide Kenyan consumers with modern, high-quality finishing options previously unavailable in the local market.

Pavilion Master Builders CEO James Kimotho said the company remains committed to offering construction solutions backed by technical support, training and professional installation services.

Kimotho said the company’s portfolio currently includes Dekra roofing tiles, light gauge steel construction and fibre cement construction systems, with Mixx Cement now expanding its finishing solutions segment.

He said trained applicators are already available to support clients and contractors using the products in various projects across the country.

“We do not just give products to the market. We provide solutions supported by technology partners who help with training, installation and implementation,” said Kimotho.

He invited stakeholders in the construction industry to visit the Pavilion Master Builders showroom at Vision Plaza for live demonstrations of the products.

Kimotho added that the company has expanded distribution channels across the country, including offices in Eldoret and Kisumu, while also working with strategic partners in Mombasa, Naivasha and Nakuru to ensure nationwide availability of the products.
