Fresh Scandal Rocks Dismissed Mamlaka Bishop Charles Ng’ang’a

By Our Reporter

Fresh allegations have emerged against dismissed Mamlaka Hill Chapel Bishop Charles Ng’ang’a, adding a new twist to the controversy surrounding the embattled cleric.

The latest claims link the former church leader to a 28-year-old woman identified as Monica, who is alleged to have worked as his masseuse before later taking up other roles at the church.

According to sources familiar with the claims, Ng’ang’a allegedly sponsored the woman’s education before she joined the church kitchen and was later promoted to receptionist. The sources further allege that the two had a long-term relationship, although the claims have not been independently verified.

The allegations threaten to deepen the controversy surrounding the former bishop, who is already embroiled in a dispute with the church over his dismissal and the revocation of his ordination.

Ng’ang’a has moved to the Employment and Labour Relations Court at Milimani, seeking Sh21 million in damages over what he describes as an improper dismissal. The case is pending determination.

The latest claims come amid an earlier controversy involving alleged romantic text messages reportedly sent to his former personal assistant, a married woman. The matter was reportedly taken before elders in an attempt to resolve marital tensions.

The fresh allegations, if substantiated, could further damage the reputation of a cleric whose followers once looked to him for spiritual guidance.

His dismissal has also brought scrutiny to the financial implications of his exit, with reports indicating that his position carried a monthly salary of about Sh1.2 million.

However, the latest allegations remain unverified, and no finding of wrongdoing has been established in relation to the claims.
