Gor Mahia have assured supporters that the club is entering the new season better prepared, with plans to strengthen the playing squad, improve matchday organization and build a more professional structure both on and off the pitch.
Speaking during the official launch of the Kahawa Royalties Branch, Gor Mahia Secretary General Nick Arrum said the club has learnt from last season and is determined to deliver improved performances in the FKF Premier League and continental competitions.
Arrum said Gor Mahia has grown beyond being just a football club, describing it as a social and economic institution that continues to unite communities across Kenya and the East African region.
“We are prepared for this season in a much bigger way than we were last season,” he said, adding that the club is strengthening its squad ahead of the new league campaign and CAF competitions.
He also promised better organization during the season, saying the club intends to improve fan coordination, communication and matchday experiences after successfully filling stadiums during the previous campaign.
“We managed to fill the stadium last season. This time we want to do even better. Everything will be much better organized,” Arrum said.
On player recruitment, the Secretary General urged supporters to remain patient during the transfer window and avoid relying on rumours that could interfere with negotiations.
He emphasized that transfers are being handled professionally by the club’s leadership and appealed to fans to wait for official communication instead of spreading unverified reports.
Arrum acknowledged concerns over the club’s youth and women’s teams, saying the senior team had been prioritized because of immediate competitive commitments. He, however, assured members that structured plans for the youth side and Gor Mahia Queens would follow.
He further urged supporters to maintain respectful engagement on social media, saying constructive criticism would help the club grow while divisive exchanges only weaken the team.
During the event, Kahawa Royalties Branch Patron Duncan Onyango challenged members to play a greater role in strengthening the club financially through increased attendance, genuine merchandise purchases and season ticket subscriptions.
Onyango said the launch of the branch represented a new chapter for Gor Mahia’s efforts to build a more organized and accountable supporters’ structure.
“We have a club that is better organized. Can we do better? Yes. That is why we continue demanding more from ourselves,” he said.
He proposed the introduction of annual and quarterly season tickets, arguing that advance ticket sales would provide the club with reliable revenue while making it easier for supporters to back the team throughout the season.
Onyango also urged fans to buy authentic Gor Mahia jerseys instead of counterfeit merchandise, saying purchases of official products directly benefit the club and can help finance its development programmes, including the women’s team.
He stressed that supporters must also demonstrate their commitment by attending matches, saying accountability begins with active participation.
“The real test of this branch will be seen in the stadium. We cannot demand accountability if we are not there supporting the team,” he said.
The branch patron called for unity among supporters, encouraging constructive criticism while warning against personal attacks and divisive debates that could undermine the club.
He expressed confidence that Kahawa Royalties Branch would become one of Gor Mahia’s leading branches by promoting professionalism, accountability and active member participation.
The launch brought together Gor Mahia officials, branch leaders and supporters as the record Kenyan champions intensify preparations for the 2026/27 season.
