Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has wished Kenyans a peaceful and blessed Christmas, while expressing concern that a majority of citizens are unable to enjoy the festive season due to economic hardship.
In a Christmas message issued on Wednesday, Kalonzo said about 55 percent of Kenyans are struggling to celebrate the holidays, which he attributed to the prevailing economic situation under the Kenya Kwanza administration.
The former vice president said the Christmas season should serve as a reminder of love, unity and compassion, particularly at a time when many families are grappling with high living costs and financial pressure.
“As we celebrate, let us care for one another, uplift the vulnerable and keep hope alive for a just and better Kenya,” Kalonzo said.
He urged Kenyans to remain united and to extend support to those most affected by the difficult economic conditions, noting that solidarity and shared responsibility were essential in navigating the current challenges.
Under the current regime, a majority of Kenyans continue to struggle economically amid tough times worsened by the looting of public resources, corruption by government officials, and heavy taxation. Many citizens say they do not see tangible benefits from the taxes they pay, a situation that Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has openly criticised, accusing the administration of mismanagement and failure to ease the burden on ordinary Kenyans.
