Safaricom Launches PATA MORE Campaign to Boost Customer Value Across Data, M-PESA and Fibre Services

Safaricom (NSE: SCOM) has unveiled PATA MORE, a new customer value campaign aimed at offering more affordable connectivity, enhanced digital payment services and improved business solutions across its product portfolio.

The campaign introduces upgraded data bundles, expanded M-PESA benefits, faster fibre internet and additional value for businesses and smartphone users as the telecommunications giant seeks to reward customers with more value from the services they use every day.

Under the new offers, customers will now receive 250MB for KES 20, valid for 24 hours, up from 150MB, while the KES 99 daily bundle has been increased from 1GB to 1.5GB. The monthly KES 1,000 data bundle has also more than doubled to 21.5GB, up from 10GB.

M-PESA users and merchants are also set to benefit from improved payment services through Pochi la Biashara. Customers can now make free Pochi Kadogo transactions of up to KES 200, an increase from the previous KES 100 limit. For transactions above KES 200, charges will be capped at KES 50 for the next 90 days.

Safaricom has also enhanced merchant services by raising the Lipa na M-PESA Buy Goods Kadogo threshold from KES 200 to KES 500, allowing more small-value digital payments to be processed while enabling small businesses to retain more of their earnings.

Customers purchasing smartphones under the campaign will receive additional value through bundled data, voice services and device insurance. The offer includes the Neon Ultra 2 smartphone, available through daily repayments of KES 55, complete with device insurance.

For transport operators, drivers and boda boda riders subscribed to Bundle Ya Deree/Boda will access packages combining connectivity with work tools, including free access to ride-hailing applications, Google Maps and Tuunza Mapato insurance.

Home internet users are also set to benefit, with Safaricom increasing Fibre internet speeds by up to 2.5 times across selected packages while introducing family sharing and more flexible connectivity options.

Safaricom Chief Executive Officer Peter Ndegwa said the campaign was developed in response to customer feedback and the need to deliver practical value in everyday life.

“We understand that every choice our customers make matters, whether it is staying connected, sending money, running a business or supporting their families. That is why we continue to listen closely and respond with solutions that offer practical, everyday value. Through PATA MORE, we want to give our customers more from the services they rely on most, and ensure we continue to show up for them with care, simplicity and support when they need us most,” he said.

Businesses are also expected to benefit through enhanced Fibre for Business packages offering faster internet speeds and integrated cybersecurity features that help block malicious websites, prevent risky downloads and detect suspicious online activity in real time.

The campaign also integrates Safaricom’s digital services through the One App, enabling customers to manage connectivity, browse offers and access customer support. Users can also receive assistance through Zuri on WhatsApp or the One App, or by dialling 100 to speak to the Zuri Voice Bot.

Safaricom said the PATA MORE campaign reflects its commitment to delivering greater value by combining connectivity, digital solutions and customer support into a seamless experience for individuals and businesses alike.
